PICO paper: In pediatric nurses diagnosed with depression, does pharmacological treatment as opposed to cognitive behavioral therapy, work better in the management of depression?
– Introduction should include: background information about the population of interest, discuss the significance of the topic to nursing practice is, and state the research question
– Methods and results should include: indicate the methods you used to retrieve the literature, mention the keywords and databases you used. This is the review of literature area, all articles must be discussed in the results section. Provide a comparison of interventions in terms of outcomes, describe the research designs used in these studies, and the internal and external validity of the study findings.
– Discussion, conclusion, and abstract should include: a summary of the current evidence/state of the science of the interventions. Basically, was the PICO question answered? Why or why not? Information should be synthesized into a paper with the following parts: an abstract, introduction, methods, results, discussion, conclusion, and reference page.
