View the U.S. Constitution & The Preamble Download presentation and read the information from the Constitution Center regarding the Preamble. There are
three (3) parts to the Constitution Center assignment:
1. The Preamble Intro
2. A Reading by Mr. Chemerinsky
3. A Reading by Mr. Stokes
Once you have reviewed and read the material, write a short essay (600-700 words) which demonstrates how the language of The Preamble can guide
politicians and lawmakers in writing laws and developing policies regarding homeland security issues (e.g., protection against terrorism, protecting the
borders of the country, protecting the environment, preparing for natural disasters, etc.).
