Case Study #1
Go to an informative website such as: https://www.siemens-healthineers.com/en-us/molecular-imaging/mi-clinical-corner/clinical-case-studies, https://radiopaedia.org/, or https://www.auntminnie.com. From here, you will choose an interesting case study that pertains to the application (Examples: oncologic, neurologic, psychiatric, cardiac) covered in this week’s lecture. Choose a case and write a 2–3-page double-spaced paper (Title page and reference page do not count towards page count). Your paper must be in APA format.
Your paper should answer each of the following:
- Title Page
- History of the patient
- Findings from the Radiologist read
- Diagnosis
- Discussion of the patient’s specific case
- Ensure to add any additional modality types that were utilized in the case study (CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-ray, Fluoroscopy)
- Describe how the specific modality helped diagnose, aid, or contribute to the findings
- Describe the future outlook on this patient’s condition. Is there a cure or is it treatment based?
- Include one image showing the pathological condition.

- The case studies must provide references and in-text citations. Any work that is plagiarized (such “copy and pasting” into the homework assignment) will receive a 0% for the assignment and will result in disciplinary action. Please refer to the catalog for actions resulting in Plagiarism
