The draft must be at least 300 words, outlining your training and development plan (training outline, raining objectives, etc.).
As you draft your training plan, here are a few things you want to consider. When hiring a new employee, an effective onboarding process is critical. Employee orientation programs provide new employees with the basic background information required to perform their jobs satisfactorily (Dessler, 2019). Orientation programs today are moving away from routine discussion of company rules to emphasizing the company’s mission and the employee’s role in that mission, getting them on board early as a key member of the team (Dessler, 2019). I am attaching my former organization’s orientation policy and general orientation checklist that is used for all new employees. Programs also have specific orientation checklists for an employee’s specific job classification/function.
Also, a couple of elements to consider for this assignment is having clear training objectives. These objectives are defined as a “description of a performance you want learners to be able to exhibit before you consider them competent.” They should address correcting the performance deficiencies identified with a needs analysis. Being clear about how training will occur should be included. The two main ways to identify training needs are as follows: task analysis (an analysis of the job’s requirements) and performance analysis (an analysis to verify if there is a performance deficiency; Dessler, 2019).
