Addressing Communications – School/Family/Community Partnerships

Instructions:
When you started this course, you became the principal at Ima Leader High School, the superintendent asked you to assist with improving community relations and re-establishing trust with stakeholders. In week one you created the membership of your committee called the School/Family/Community Partnerships. You have simulated the distribution and collection of a survey aimed at improving communications. You also simulated the gathering of demographic data from your committee members. Additionally, you have read several articles pertaining to collaboration and community partnerships. Lastly, you have reviewed specific videos provided to you regarding what parents want from their schools.
Now it is time to consider how you would use a School/Family/Community Partnerships committee to have an ongoing impact on improving communications and restoring trust at your new campus. (This is a thought-provoking activity. There will be few if any wrong answers. However, think through the rubric and complete the assignment. Do not miss points for getting off topic or not reviewing the rubric. The assignment will help you confront principalship issues for the first time in this class, rather than out in the field.)
