“Beyond” Vietnam

Read the attached articles by Logevall and Dowd-Hall as well as the M.L.K. Speech “Beyond” Vietnam very carefully. Bring these sources into converstation with the Foner/Yawp texts on the question of “What is the relationship between the Modern Civil Rights Movement and the Vietnam Conflict?” Your paper should address this question in terms of ‘Causes’ and ‘Consequences’ as well as the impact on the American Experience in the Containment Era 1950s-1980s.
Your paper must be 1500-2500 words (3-5 pages)
You must site each of the sources provided.
You must provide: A clear THESIS; sufficient EVIDENCE (from the sources); a basic CHRONOLOGY (order of events) and some form of ANALYSIS (i.e. why is this historical change important to the U.S. and the World?
