This assignment empowers you to begin planning your improvement plan based on the data you located. This step will become the heart of your final capstone project, so be deliberate, specific, take your time, and think critically. Many schools follow this same process by creating a “School Improvement Plan” (SIP) or “Strategic Direction” (higher education). But other fields also have their versions of improvement plans, goals, SWOT analysis, etc. In this first part of your improvement plan, you will identify your goals and direction.
Assignment Directions
Follow the examples in this week for a template or create an improvement plan template – this will be a plan within a plan or what you will present to stakeholders.
Include the following sections in your paper:
an introduction to the plan that outlines the data you want to improve, and the best research-based method that you suggest for improving this data.
your vision and mission statement for the institution/plan
general goals for the plan
a description of the big picture steps you will take to meet the goals
a description of what the goals and steps should look like in application, when they are met
a list of stakeholders or “owners” of any part of the plan
an improvement plan template you will use (created in RSM611), with a description of how this template will be organized
Include a final presentation (PowerPoint, webinar, etc. {be creative} that you would use to present the main points of this plan (the problem, data, vision, goals, and steps) to stakeholders.
