LISTENING MAPS

 

Pick your two favorite selections from the LISTENING MAPS found in Module 6. In short, choose two pieces that have Listening Maps in Module 6, explain why you like them, and how your picks might compare to something in your own listening catalog. Further topics could include the historical or social context of each composition; the composers’ background; and similarities and the use of musical elements such as sound, instrumentation, melody, rhythm/meter, harmony/tonality, and form. Note similarities as well as differences. Your submission should be in the range of 150–250 words. Refer to the Listening Journal Rubric for more information.
