1) Must contain at least 10 sources (4 of which are peer review or book sources). A news article is not a peer reviewed source.
2) Your Research Question (Focus on questions that explain, we are not doing empirical research)
a. Answer – Why did you choose this question?
b. Answer – Do you think your question passes the “So What?” test and why?
c. Answer – Who might benefit from your research in the real world?
i. “Ex: Why are pop groups so successful in South Korea, but not in the US?”
ii. This research might help someone in the music industry who is trying to debut a new pop group in the US understand the barriers that they may have to overcome.
d. Answer – What sources do you expect to use to answer this question.
3) Your working thesis statement (You may have to do some research to create one if you are completely unfamiliar with the topic).
4) As previously stated, the paper should be 6-8 pages. There are no penalties for writing the minimum (you can still get an A with 6 pages). 6 pages means 6 full pages and writing any less than that will impact your grade. You are free to use any style you’d like to write the paper.
