Imagine that you work for an agency that has the goal of substantially reducing the rate of drug abuse in your
local community. For this Activity, you describe an addiction treatment program for your community. Design it
like something you would use to make a Wikipedia page. You WILL NOT be making a real Wikipedia page or
using someone else’s Wikipedia page for this assignment. The idea is for you to design your document like you
would a Wikipedia page. I chose this method to help you be creative. Take a look at a few different real
Wikipedia pages before you start this assignment to get some ideas.

1) Definition and U.S. prevalence of substance related and addictive disorders
2) Causes of these disorders (refer to 3 different models or theories in your assignment)
3) Prevention and treatment elements based on what you learned in your chapter readings, NIDA readings, and
Bronfenbrenner’s ecological model (see picture above).
