Choose a job role/job advert for a leadership/management role in health or social care (you will be supported with choosing a suitable job role/advert in our class sessions). Ideally, it should be a role in a context that you have an interest in.
Write a case study analysis on this role using the knowledge, theory and skills you’ve gained in this module.
Specifically, you need to address the following four components that are based on the module learning outcomes (guidance on this structure will be provided throughout the module):
Introduction (approx. 100 words): Give a brief introduction to what your chosen advertised leadership/management job role is. (Include a copy/screenshot of the job advert and description as an appendix at the end, which does not count towards the word count).
Critically discuss the relationship between LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT for your chosen job role and context. – Consider what STYLES OF LEADERSHIP might be required, and discuss WHY. – Use literature and references to support this discussion.
What might be the relevant CHANGES in that specific context/sector that this role might have to deal with? – Consider ‘what aspects of CHANGE MANAGEMENT might be required?’ – What principles and values might be relevant and important when considering these changes?
