Within your introduction, please describe your involvement in or awareness of the organization you have chosen to write about during the time it experienced the issue/problem. Include a brief summary of the issue/problem.
Apply the components of an open system in evaluating whether your chosen organization functioned as an effective open system while interacting with its external environment during that period. Explain your response.
Provide an explanation, using three appropriate management theories from three distinct viewpoints/approaches, for how the organization could have handled the problem effectively with three specific stakeholders (internal and/or external). For example, you can include one theory from within each of the following: the classical viewpoint (e.g., scientific management theory), the human relations approach under the Behavioral viewpoint, (e.g., Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory), and Evidence based management under the quantitative viewpoint.
Explain whether the rational or the nonrational decision-making model was used in handling the problem. What are the shortcomings of the decision-making model used?
How might the application of artificial intelligence (AI) be useful in solving this problem?
How would an AI recommendation be implemented to improve organizational effectiveness? What will the role of each level of management be in incorporating the AI recommendation to make the organization run efficiently and effectively?
Reflecting on the recommendation above, suggest one long-term and one short-term goal for the future direction of the organization. Include a justified rationale of the suggestions. How would the application of these goals enhance the satisfaction of the same three specific stakeholders addressed in item 3 above.
How should the organization integrate the other three functions of management (i.e., organizing, leading, and controlling) to meet the recommended goals?
