The goal here is to look objectively at all sides of a public policy issue.
Define public policy and choose one public policy issue, either from the US Department of State website or identified on your own, that directly or indirectly relates to a concern important in your life today. For example, how might immigration policy impact the economy?
Be sure to look at all sides of the issue and share at least one point from each perspective of the political spectrum; share a point to consider from the left (Democrat), right (Republican.) Include other viewpoints such as the Libertarian’s perspective, if you would like to do so.
Then, state your position and why. Be sure to provide links to support your statements, using the most objective news sources you can find or at least sources with competing views or biases.
Reflect on what you learned from this exercise and how it might benefit you in the future.
