The main purpose of this paper is to evaluate what is missing in the book when author talks about rationality.

Kirshner, J. (2022). An Unwritten Future: Realism and Uncertainty in World Politics. Princeton University Press.

The author critically examines the deficiencies inherent in the misapplication of the bargaining model and a misinterpretation of oligopoly theory within the framework of Structural Realism. Additionally, the author contends that the conventional rational actor model frequently proves inadequate in capturing the irrational and emotionally charged dimensions of international decision-making, as elucidated by Classical Realism.
