The United States provides no federal policy providing universal childcare. According to a 2021 poll, 34% of families with young children face problems finding safe, affordable child care when adults need to work (Kamenetz & Khurana, 2021). This ongoing family challenge and the type of care children experience may impact their young children’s social and emotional development. Many factors influence the effects of childcare.
Develop a response to the following questions:
• What type of childcare arrangements did you experience as a child?
• How do you think this influenced your social and emotional development? Mention at least these three specifics: emotional regulation, attachment, temperament, or personality development.
