Breaches and incidents have far-reaching consequences on businesses and society. The Colonial Pipeline cyberattack is a significant incident highlighting critical infrastructure vulnerability. This attack, which occurred in 2021, disrupted the operations of the Colonial Pipeline, a key player in the oil and gas industry in the United States, leading to fuel shortages and raising concerns about cybersecurity measures in critical sectors.
