1. Discuss how to empower families by being knowledgeable about federal laws and their influence on young children and how family history and cultural background are important in the decision-making process for young children with disabilities.
2. Discuss purposes, methods and procedures for identifying early childhood students with disabilities and evaluating their progress in inclusive classrooms while also giving an account of diversity and demonstrate the implications of diversity with regard to assessment, eligibility, programming and placement.
3. Describe the procedures for developing, implementing and amending Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
