4. Video is of the student facing the camera directly from the shoulders up.

This criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeResponse CriteriaProvides a response for all four areas below for 3 students posts. Each area is an all or nothing grade. An answer must be provided for each item on all 3 posts to receive credit for the item. If one item is missing from one or more posts credit will not be granted for the item. Therefore, students who only post 1 or 2 responses will receive a zero for this section of the rubric.

1. Provides constructive feedback on what the student did well when communicating with the patient. 10 points
2. Provides constructive feedback on how the student can improve their communication with the patient. 10 points
3. Provides constructive feedback on what information the student forgot to provide to the patient. 10 points
4. Provides constructive feedback on the accuracy of the information provided to the patient. 10 points

If one or more posts contain feedback which is deemed to be unprofessional, cruel, unkind, mean or in any way inappropriate a zero will be assigned for the entire assignment. Partial credit will not be awarded.

This criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeDue DateEach item below is an all or nothing grade. The time frames must be met to receive full credit for each item below. If the time frame is not met or there is one or more missing responses a zero will be assigned for the respective area below. Partial credit will not be given.

1. Posts video before Wednesday at 11:59pm. 10 points
2. Responds to all 3 posts before Saturday at 11:59pm. 10 points

Once the Saturday due date has passed no further submissions will be permitted and the assignment grade will be based the submitted information.

This criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeGrammar/APAEach item below is worth 6 points. The presence of one or more errors seen in any item will result in 3 points being deducted for the respective item. If all responses are missing citations or references, zero points will be assigned for respective item below.

1. Written responses are completed using correct grammar, sentence structure and syntax. 6 points
2. Provides one professional reference, per response, which supports the constructive feedback provided. 6 points
3. References are written using the most current edition of the APA manual. 6 points
4. Each response includes an APA citation. 6 points

The video post does not require references or citations.

When using references to write each response, students should synthesize their reading and use paraphrase verbiage for their posts. The use of one or more quotes, in one or more responses, will result in a grade of zero for the entire section of the rubric. Partial credit will not be provided.

Do not reference the course lectures. Six points will be deducted for referencing one or more of the course lectures.

This criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeOther InstructionsStudents are required to submit a video. Students who do not submit a video will receive a zero for the entire assignment. Credit for any other submitted work will not be given when a video is not submitted.

Late assignments are not accepted and will be assigned a grade of zero.

Replies must be posted as a reply to the discussion board post. Do not post them as a comment to the video. Replies posted as a comment to the video will not be graded.
