Study Plan

To succeed in school and on the National Certification Exam, I need a study schedule. To

complete my work and improve my abilities promptly, I need to develop a study schedule that

will keep me focused, disciplined, and on track. In addition, a study plan is essential to my

mental health since it enables me to become aware of my shortcomings and possibilities for

improvement promptly, which in turn reduces the amount of stress I experience because I can

address these issues promptly. This paper will outline my future goals with a timeline that will

aid me in achieving my qualifying exam.

Summary of Strengths and Opportunity for Improvement:

After completing the practice exam for the National Certification Exam, I am more aware of my

strengths, my limitations, and how I can continue to grow. Throughout my life, and particularly

as an adult, I've come to appreciate the fact that my competencies lie in the areas of

pharmacological foundations and physical examination. It is possible to make advancements in

areas such as neuroanatomy, genomics, neurophysiology, and epigenetics. These areas pertain

specifically to the capabilities of children and adolescents, areas in which I do not have a lot of

experience. Throughout the past few years, I've gained a significant amount of knowledge and

understanding in the areas of evaluation, conducting interviews, acquiring a history, medical

tests, changes, possible treatments, and mental condition. As a result, this is also one of my

strong areas of expertise. For me to make progress or improve, I will have to educate myself on

the application of psychometric characteristics to current instruments, particularly those designed

for use with children and adolescents, and conduct a study on the dependability of the data.

These instruments did not receive nearly enough attention from me throughout my therapeutic

efforts. As a consequence of this, it would present me with a diverse array of learning and growth

opportunities. Before I began the test, I was under the impression that one of my primary

weaknesses would be psychotherapy methods; nonetheless, my performance was satisfactory in

this area, and I do not require any further training in this sector. I must continue to focus on

developing my talents by addressing the areas in which I am deficient and becoming excellent in

my strengths.

Goals and Tasks

Goal: To meet and complete the weekly tasks and studies, I aim to read the guideline titled

“American Psychiatric Association, Updates to DSM–5 Criteria, Text and ICD-10 Codes.”

• Task 1-: To better arrange my tasks, I will design a regular timetable.

• Task 2- I also will reserve time in my calendar to do my activity or task so that I can provide

sufficient and balanced concentration to each object. I will do this so that I may fulfill my

responsibilities.

Goal: In this section, “The Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification Review

Guide,” I would like to go through the chapters.

• Task 1- Every week, I shall complete the readings that have been assigned.

• Task 2- Schedule time each of the week to learn the information and evaluate the knowledge

that you have already learned.

Goal: I am going to build a checklist for myself, and inside that checklist, I am going to describe

my strong points, and then I am going to go over the checklist once again.

• Task 1-In order to determine my strengths, I will analyze the work that is given to me weekly.

• Task 2- To improve my capability and my skill set, I intend to take the quiz on the

aforementioned subjects.

My progression may be tracked in several ways, one of which is by monitoring how well

I do in meeting the goals I've established for myself. In addition to grades, remarks from the

instructor and preceptorship evaluations can be used as another method to evaluate my progress.

The third strategy for surveying estimates is to make a list of the errands and tasks that I will

need to perform to be ready for the event by looking forward to the upcoming term that is the

closest.

Resources to Accomplish Goals

I planned to consult “The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Review Manual”

as a source of information for my educational endeavors through my professional education.

Using this resource to help me fulfill my weekly exams and assignments would be very

beneficial to me. If there was something that I started but was unable to complete, I will come

back to it after I have all of the programs finished with an A grade. In addition, the “Certification

Guide” is an outstanding resource that has been of great use to me in acquiring the skills and

information I needed to complete the certification exam.
