National Exercise Program (NEP)

 

The National Exercise Program (NEP) (Link https://www.fema.gov/emergency-managers/national-preparedness/exercises) a national initiative to test,
assess, and improve the nation’s preparedness and resiliency.
The NEP’s biannual exercise cycle includes exercise types ranging from discussion-based tabletop exercises to drills and functional exercises from all levels
of government, non-governmental and private sector organizations, and the whole community.
Review the National Exercise Program 2017-2018 Overview and identify the legislative imperative.
Write a six page (double-spaced) paper addressing the following:
1. Concisely present a background foundation for your paper that describes the main functions and components of the Federal Emergency Management
Agency (FEMA) and how Emergency Management relates to Homeland Security.
