Compare/contrast Eliza Pinckney and Sarah Hale
Both Eliza Pinckney and Sarah Hale had a large amount of influence over a large number of people. Pinckney’s influence primarily was due to obligation; she had family and enslaved people that had to listen to her and trust her choices. Hale’s influence, however, had more to do with choice. People could choose to read the magazine she was working on. Both women were innovators — Pinckney with Indigo and Hale with establishing Thanksgiving.
