3-You are the therapist. Your client is a big joker and prankster. The only reason your client is in therapy with you is because of his/her high blood pressure; his/her doctor told him/her that the reason for the high blood pressure was because he/she not handling stress well. You have seen that your client uses jokes, laughter as a technique to avoid situations that need to be dealt with in his/her life, family. Your client is a bit a “head in the sand” type of person.
-How would you assist your client in changing this lifelong technique of reverting to jokes, laughter when he/she does not want to deal with an issue.
4-What type of mental health disorder(s) could a person have that keeps his/her “head in the sand”?
