recess in elementary schools. Some schools have decreased the length of recess, or
have eliminated it altogether, while community members have fought to create laws to
protect recess.

o What are the values of recess and the benefits of outdoor play?
o How can you advocate for recess within your own communities?
o Do you think eliminating recess for children who misbehave is an effective
