  2. Upon choosing your element of interest, use the periodic table and research to conduct the following:
    • Introduction
    • location on the periodic table
    • atomic number
    • atomic mass
    • element symbol
    • who discovered the element and when
    • why this element interests you
    • Chemical properties
    • family/ reactivity trends
    • group/ # valence e’s
    • types of bonds the element can form
    • Physical properties
    • elemental class (metal, non metal, metalloid)
    • applications and uses)
  3. open a blank document for your research paper.
    Present your research in the format of a 5-paragraph essay.
    Include the following:
    • Works cited (Periodic table website and any other sources you used)
    • Scientific voice
    • Proper conventions
