Create your status set (at least 6 statuses you occupy – 3 ascribed and 3 achieved) and discuss the roles associated with each. Which is your master status and why? Provide an example of a way in which your life is structured around that status (or a way others have used this status to define and interact with you, even if you don’t agree)? Has this and will this always be your master status? Why or why not (what circumstances has or would cause it to change)? In a particular status, discuss a few roles that create role conflicts and role strains in your life. Discuss a role from which you had to exit as well.
After you have created this “snapshot” view of your reality for us, discuss any of the
aspects that you think should alter or you would change if you had the power to do so?
If you feel your life is perfect just the way it is, then describe other ways someone that has a similar status set might perform differently and provide a few reasons why and how such differences in performance might shape how others view/interact with that person.
Note: (Things to know about me that may help answer the question above is that i’m currently in college, very indecisive about my major, and working. I’m not sure if these example are related
to the question, but in case you can use them )
