The paper will be an analysis of this movie or show using many of the ideas, concept, perspectives, and tools we have discussed and covered in this class and other classes you have taken. The idea is to examine the movie or show critically, which means you can examine the media in different ways, such as story, characters, actors who play the characters, the world it is set in – political, social, and economic, as well as the design of the world, music, pacing, structure, etc. Break it apart into its components so they can be analyzed.
Here are some things to think about or consider with your analysis: what are the underlying political, social, or economic themes of the movie or show? What do the political and social themes tell us about both the Marvel world and the real world? What are the political and/or social impacts of this film or show on the MCU and the real world? Does the movie or show fit with larger political, social, or economic themes across the MCU? Examine the individual characters from different perspectives, or think about issues of race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality when it comes to representation on the screen and what does that tell us about the MCU world and the real world? Do characters play into stereotypes or break them? How does representation on screen impact our political and social world?”
