Compare and contrast the two drama/plays that were required reading in the course. The requirements for your essay include:
- Good background to your Introduction should provide your paraphrase of each drama/play.
- In your essay you must clearly Identify and explain how at least three of your chosen literary elements are used in each drama/paly. These three (3) literary elements should be the subpoints of your clear, focused, and succinct thesis. That is, the most effective method to organize the essay is to discuss how each element is used in each play, then go to the next element. Also, you should focus on one drama/play at a time, unless there is strong comparison and/or constrast in the use of the elements.
- You must use three (3) or more sources in addition to your textbook, that critique how your literary elements are used in short stories generally, not just the two drama/plays. At least two of those three sources must be academic, peer-reviewed/scholarly peer-reviewed sources from one of the five (5) academic databases provided in the “Resources for Completing Writing Assignments.” If you use any of the sources that are identified as “Must Not Use Sources” the highest grade you may expect to earn is “50” out of “100” points. To be safe, you should only use peer – reviewed sources and stay away from any standard websites, blogs, etc.
- In order to thoroughly analyze each of your three elements in each of the drama/plays, which would be the Right Content and the Right Amount of Content for this assignment, your essay must be a minimum of four ( 4) full pages to six (6) or more. I am not concerned about a “Word Count” and nor should you be.
