With Fusion 360 3D modeling software or any other software, you will implement a product assembly, which is composed of several parts. For Computer Integrated Manufacturing you need to submit an assembly design with at least 6 DIFFERENT parts. You should demonstrate the use of as many modeling techniques (such as extrude, revolve, mirror, pattern, holes, etc) as possible. In addition, you will:
a) Select one part from your design suitable for CNC milling process and generate a
manufacturing process plan for it, including CNC milling program generated with Pro/Manufacturing.
b) Improve the assembly with DFM/DFA methodologies. The purpose of DFM/DFA is to improve the current design and make it easier for manufacturing and assembly.
• For Computer Integrated Manufacturing, you need to improve it with Design for Assembly (DFA) methods.
You need to submit a one-page project abstract, with the following component:
1. Project Objectives
a. What product assembly is going to be modeled and analyzed?
b. List the parts in this assembly.
c. Select parts that will be improved by doing DFM/DFA analysis.
