This assignment has you compare the vocabularies needed for interoperability vs those needed for HIPAA.

1. Find all of the vocabularies required by ONC for use with EHR’ (purpose is for interoperability).
2. Find all of the vocabularies that are required by HIPAA.
3. Build a table that lists the vocabularies in the first column, then build two columns one for EHR or HIPAA and mark with an X if the vocabulary is needed for EHR and or HIPAA.
   The NLM UMLS Metathesaurus website might help you locate the information, you may need to find other sources.
