Will you please create a one-two page Handout for our International Animal Rescue Clinic to give our employees for training, so they can help care for the animals?
We need to describe how the animals at our different locations respond physiologically to maintain homeostasis in their environments. Please choose from one of these animals that we treat:
Dog living with a family in Maine in winter (cold environment)
Atlantic bottlenose dolphin in Florida Keys (aquatic environment)
A cheetah in grasslands of South Africa (hot, arid environment)
The one-two page Handout will have three sections and must include the following:
Description of the animal and its typical habitat; physiological responses that the animal uses to adapt to maintain homeostasis in its typical habitat; physiological responses that the animal uses to adapt to maintain homeostasis in hot and cold conditions;
Describe how the neonatal animal (selected for your handout) responds physiologically to its environment to maintain homeostasis; examples to describe how the neonatal animal (selected for your handout) responds physiologically to hot and cold conditions to maintain homeostasis;
Report on a physiological response the animal uses for survival, using two peer-reviewed scientific sources and compare and contrast why the animal would or would not be able to survive in a different environment vs. its typical habitat, including details of the animals physiology for support.
