Creative communication strategies

Your company has developed an innovative app that promises a new kind of sensory listening experience for users. Relying on smart audio beaming technology, the app works by transmitting ultrasound waves silently through the air, converging into two virtual pockets of sound just outside the listener’s ears. While others nearby will hear only a whisper of ambient sound, users are immersed in a 3-D soundscape without having to connect to speakers, or wear headphones or wireless earbuds. The app allows users to listen to their favourite tunes,
TV shows, or play loud computer games in the complete privacy of their own sound bubble, without disturbing family members or colleagues.
You are tasked to create a name for the app and assist the marketing team with promoting the product through an advertising and marketing campaign, including press releases and a media pack to create top-of-mind awareness. The campaign will include a media launch of the product.
a) Brainstorm to develop three potential names for this app. Explain and rationalize your choices and select 1 preferred recommendation with justification. Create a tagline for this product and highlight its Unique Selling Proposition (USP).
b) Create a 250-word outline of an advertising campaign by applying the various strategies you have learned. In it, discuss four strategies for the advertising campaign you will use to advertise this product and explain your reasons in greater depth.
c) Applying your understanding of press release communications, write a press release for this product. Employ an angle/hook, a headline, introduction, body, and conclusion in your press release. Word limit is 250-300 words, excluding Address and Header. Assume that the hi-res images of the product are within the media pack.
d) Write a speech for the media launch of the product. Use the seven steps for speech writing you have covered in Study Unit 3 to help you develop and write the speech for the launch of this revolutionary product. Word limit is 350 words.
