This award is meant to celebrate Arlene “Cookie” Faust, the beloved academic coordinator for the English department at Franklin & Marshall College from 1985-2012. For 27 years, Cookie, supported and cared for the English department — its faculty, students, and alumni — as if they were her family. Her signature warmth, skill, wisdom, kindness, and humor uplifted and instructed all who worked with her. A longtime employee of the College, and a mother of two and grandmother of four, she possessed a wealth of experience and told fabulous, hilarious stories.
Submissions for the prize should be entertaining and funny. Work in any genre is accepted, and there is no page limit.
