For this assignment, you will be describing two societies based on the classical school and new school’s approaches to crime policy.

Instructions

Part One – Classical School Society

Describe a society that is built upon the classical school’s approach to crime policy that includes the following:

First, identify the appropriate goal of sentencing for the classical school.
Next, describe how the CJ system (i.e., police, courts, corrections) responds to crime/criminals by identifying multiple types of policies/laws a classical school society would support. For each type of policy/law you identified, include an original/fictional example (i.e., made up by you) to illustrate your understanding of it.
Lastly, explain how an offender in a classical school society would be treated upon being released from the care of a correctional facility.

Part Two – New School Society
