1. Watch the three YouTube videos (links attached below). One shows Big Wave surfing (15 minutes) and the other two show highlights from the recent surfing competition in Huntington Beach, CA (2 minutes each).
2. After watching video #1: You are to “state the strategy” for successfully surfing that kind of surf.
3. After watching videos #2 & #3: You are to “state the strategy” for successfully surfing that kind of surf. YOUR STRATEGY STATEMENT FOR #1 VIDEO SHOULD BE VERY, VERY, VERY DIFFERENT FROM YOUR STRATEGY STATEMENT FOR VIDEOS #2 & #3.
4. Compare your two strategy statements and explain what makes the strategies very different.
5. Think of your hobbies and interests. Then come up with an example that you explain how strategy helps you to be successful at your specific hobby or interest. Write a STRATEGY STATEMENT for your specific hobby/interest.
6. *You must type your answers in a Word or PowerPoint document and upload your document to the class Canvas page dropbox for Assignment #1 by 11:59 PM on January 15. Late assignments will receive 30% discount prior to grading. NO ASSIGNMENT WILL BE ACCEPTED PAST 8:00 AM on January 16.
