Company Analysis – *UNIQA INSURANCE GROUP AG*
Your task is to pick an Austrian company which is listed at the Austrian Traded Index ATX https://www.wienerborse.at/en/market-data/shares-others/primemarket/?c1087-sort=diff and make a company valuation
Therefore, the following needs to be done:
• Decide for one Austrian listed company, I choose UNIQA INSURANCE GROUP AG
• Find the latest annual report or (2021) on the company website and find additional information from other sources (yahoo, Bloomberg etc)

o Was there a significant movement and can you explain why
there was a certain movement in the share price
o Interpret your findings
• Calculate the market capitalization for the end of 2019 end of March 2020 and now (use the links on moodle “shares outstanding and yahoo finance)
o Interpret your results
• Do you find any additional information on how the company will
“survive” or benefit from the ongoing economic crisis?
o What do you suggest to the CEO he should do?

▪ Use last Annual Report to obtain your figures
• EBITDA
• EBIT
• Total cash + cash equivalents
• Total amount of debt (total liabilities)
• Get multiples form the “vebitdaEurope” uploaded
o Select the appropriate industry!
• Calculate the Enterprise Value using the EV/EBITDA

• Calculate the Enterprise Value using the EV/EBIT o and interpret your results
o find a competitor in the same industry, value the competitor also with multiples, and review the company value results
o Conclusion (4th part) of your company analysis:
▪ What do you think about the performance in 2022 compared to the years
before (last 3 years)?
▪ Where do you see the company in the future?
▪ What do you recommend the company to do in order to improve their
busines after Corona?
▪ Is there anything else you want to add?
Format for final submission is .pdf – compute your results in excel and use a professional format for your submission. Try to make the document appealing
and professional. It would be great if you could also indicate your sources of information in a way that I do not need to open too many files and that I can see
right away where your numbers come from.
In general, not more than 4 pages for your company analysis, but of course if you have more to tell one or two pages more are no problem. If you want to
have a covering page, that is fine for me but not a necessity. Please do not copy whole sentences or paragraphs from your sources.

include the excel file you calculated everything in.
