Levels of Health Care

There are four levels of health care:

1. Population-based public health practice.

2. Medical practice.

3. Long-term practice.

4. End-of-life practice.

Discuss the differences among these levels:

· How can these four levels work in conjunction to educate, promote health, and control and eradicate diseases?

· How does health care play a role in the promotion and awareness of healthy behaviors?

· What can be done to bridge the gap between health care and public health so more promotional efforts can be geared toward underserved communities?

· How do these levels relate to your health promotion project?
