Discuss the lives of different groups of Americans during the period of the 1960s to 2000s. How did lives change for Americans during this period? Were all Americans impacted in the same ways, or were differences? Discuss the experiences of at least three different groups, explaining how the period impacted their lives.
Finally, discuss the world you live in today. Has it changed from the period you learned about in terms of civil rights for all Americans, or has it stayed the same? Has it changed from the period you read about in terms of unending conflict, or has it stayed the same? When historians tell the story of the world we live in today to the next generation, will it be similar to the essay you just wrote, or will it be different?
