The Brazilian workers

 

It’s easy to read this book thinking only about the US and Ford (the man and the company), but what about the Brazilian workers? They make themselves heard most clearly during the riot (228-235). To what extent is this about a clash of different cultures, and to what extent does the “culture clash” thesis divert us from the universality of their frustrations? Among other things, consider the workers’ list of grievances (233).
