Our society is becoming more and more diverse, and the world is shrinking due to advances in technology, population growth, and mobility. Most experienced teachers are serving more diverse populations today than when they began their teaching careers. Teachers must be innovative in their efforts to adapt to students and families from different cultures, ethnicities, races, regions, nations, faiths, and socioeconomic levels.
